Summary: Rodney finally sees Aiden naked. (Final installment of the Naked series)
Aiden sat up and stretched with the grace of a cat before turning his eyes toward the vast sea. He wrapped his arms around his knees and stared out at the view, unaware that he was being observed. Rodney stared at his back, strong and supple and enviously wiry, the skin smooth and warmed by the sun. He gave into the urge to touch it, and smiled when Aiden flinched.
"You look great naked," Rodney said, rubbing his hand over Aiden's back.
"We're going to have to go back at some point," Aiden replied with a pout. He captured Rodney's wandering hand and played with the strong, agile fingers.
"No time soon," Rodney said. Aiden turned his head to look at him.
"We can't go back until I repair the generator," Rodney said lazily.
"What will that take?"
"Well, to begin with, we'll have to find that part I threw into that ditch."
"You mean you really threw it?" Aiden gasped. "I thought you were only kidding!"
"Hey! You kissed me! I lost all reason."
"I thought I lost all reason and that's what made me kiss you," Aiden smirked.
"...Thus violating your 'never off-base' rule. I know. It's a moot point; let's not argue," Rodney said as he scooted closer and wrapped his arms around Aiden's waist. Aiden leaned back into him and smiled.
"I can't believe--."
"You're not having any regrets, are you?"
"Do I look like I'm having regrets?" Aiden replied, turning his head to look up at his lover.
Rodney bent his head to meet him halfway and they shared a languid kiss that reignited the embers of the passion they'd just recently discovered. Rodney laid back and Aiden shifted around to drape himself over him. Rodney rolled him onto his back and began kissing his way down down Aiden's collar bone. Aiden, in turn, spread his legs and wriggled his hips until Rodney settled into the ideal spot. When Rodney responded with a slow, insistent roll of his hips, Aiden gasped and shut his eyes tightly. But the unmistakable sound of John's voice coming from Rodney's ear piece made both men open their eyes and turn them toward the pile of clothes lying beside them.
"McKay?" John said. Rodney swore and reached for the ear piece. Aiden dug his own com link out of his boot and put it on. "You two coming back anytime soon?"
"We're still exploring the, uh..."
"Sir," Aiden said crisply. "Dr. McKay lost one of the pieces to the generator and we have to find it before we can get it back online."
"The lieutenant kicked it," Rodney said with a smug smile. Aiden returned an amused look. "It's lost in the grass."
"You two need another pair of eyes?"
"No, major," Rodney said hastily. "I'm sure the two of us can manage. That is, if the lieutenant can avoid--."
"Hey, it wasn't my fault!"
"Listen you two. You've got just about another hour of light down there. Maybe you ought to consider spending the night in the village if you can't find the part."
"Excellent idea," Rodney said eagerly.
"The women of the village are roasting a pig," Aiden said teasingly. "Dr. McKay was planning to spend the night, anyway." Rodney's eyes opened wide and glared at Aiden, who grinned impishly.
"Sounds like a plan, then. Stay on the mainland tonight. We're done with our work here and we're heading back to Atlantis."
"We'd better get back to our search, doc," Aiden said.
"No hurry" John said. "If you don't find it tonight, Teyla and I will come and help you look in the morning."
"Or perhaps you can tell us what part it is," Teyla said. "We may be able to bring it to you now."
"Not enough time if we want to get back before that storm hits. See you two in the morning," John said. "Sheppard out."
Rodney pulled out the ear piece and sighed in relief. Beside him, Aiden smiled. Rodney returned it and would have tossed the ear piece over his shoulder had Aiden not grabbed his wrist.
"You know, that's a bad habit to get into," he said as he gently prised the piece from Rodney's hand and set it down next to his own. Rodney took the opportunity to wrap his arm around Aiden's waist and pull him closer. They became lost in each other, a tangle of arms and legs and hot, passionate kisses under a tree overlooking the ocean. But a crack of thunder suddenly pierced the air, distracting the two lovers.
"The major said something about a storm, didn't he?" Aiden said, looking up at the angry sky.
"Uh, yeah," Rodney said, grabbing his clothes and scrambling to his feet. Aiden did the same and they hastily dressed before making a mad dash for the village. Once there they joined the Athosians, who were gathering under a huge tent to partake of a feast.
"Wow, this is quite a spread," Aiden observed as he took a seat on the floor next to one of the elders.
"We are celebrating our bounty," she said as she handed him a plate. "I am glad that you two are here to share it with us."
"Thank you," Aiden said shyly as he passed the plate along. Rodney took it and was about to dig in when Aiden elbowed him. Rodney sighed and passed it along. It was several minutes before he got one of his own. "Man, this tastes like nothing I ever had on Earth!" he said, licking the juice of the succulent roast from his fingers.
"There is nothing like this on Earth," Rodney replied. "We only call this a pig, you know. It's probably a similar species, but--" Aiden shook his head.
"Don't tell me, okay? Let me pretend I can get some of this someday on a beach in Maui."
They settled in and ate while enjoying the evening's entertainment. A few of the young girls sang, before a group of young women danced, shamelessly attempting to catch Aiden's eye, Rodney observed. When the dancing ended, Halling came over and handed each man a cup of Athosian wine. He sat down with them and they chatted for a while about the meal, the harvest and, eventually, the generator.
"We'll take advantage of your generous hospitality for the night and complete our repairs in the morning," Rodney said. Halling nodded his agreement and rose to go and speak with someone. A short time later, he returned. Rodney and Aiden got to their feet, a bit unsteadily due to the potency of the wine.
"We have prepared our guest tent for you. I will show you the way." He led them to a cabin at the edge of the village. The Athosians referred to all buildings as tents, but this one was a log cabin built out of solid hardwoods. One of the Marine contingent had the knowledge and skill to build log cabins and taught the Athosians how to construct them. The Athosians adopted the style for some of their permanent dwellings, though many of the villagers preferred to sleep in tents during the warmer months.
"Thanks, Halling," Rodney said as he stepped into the small abode.
"Here," Halling said, handing something to Aiden. "Good night."
"What's this?" Aiden said, opening the small jar and taking a tentative sniff. It was a sweet smelling oil. He frowned at it as Rodney walked over and took it from him.
"Oh; lube," he said knowingly. "Shut the door."
"Lube?" Aiden squeaked. "How did he even--. I mean.--."
"Well, it could be the fact that we arrived at the tent holding hands. Or maybe it was the fact that we're wearing each other's shirts...I don't know," Rodney said playfully. Aiden looked down and blanched.
"We totally outed ourselves."
"Too late," Rodney said. "Just consider yourself fortunate that the major and Teyla decided against coming to pick us up."
"Uh, yeah," Aiden muttered. Rodney pulled him over to the bed and tugged at the shirt.
"I want this back," he said playfully, leaning in to kiss away Aiden's shocked expression. He soon had Aiden giggling and they quickly divested each other of their clothes before falling into bed. But Aiden's unease soon returned.
"Yes, Aiden, lube," Rodney said gently. "I explained to you what it was used for and--."
"I know, I know," Aiden said nervously. Rodney peered at him in the dark and then smiled.
"Don't worry, Aiden. It's not for you. It's for me."
"Huh?" Aiden gently pushed him aside and sat up. "I thought--."
"You mean you assumed," Rodney said, pulling him back down. "You assumed wrongly."
"So now you're interested?" Rodney said wryly. Even in the dim light of the cabin, Rodney could see Aiden's cheeks glow.
"You might have told me sooner, you know."
"I know. Probably would have saved us both a lot of time and trouble," Rodney said thoughtfully as he traced Aiden's jawline with the tip of his finger. "But all in all, I haven't minded the wait."
"You haven't minded? You've been trying to get me naked for weeks and you knew I was nervous about this. You were ready to break up with me a few days ago because you thought you were pressuring me into it!"
"Silly me," Rodney said, pulling Aiden closer by gently yanking on his dog tags. He kissed Aiden until he stopped sputtering and submitted to Rodney's attentions. But Aiden couldn't let the moment pass without saying something.
"You know, for a genius..."
"I know. Shut up."
"Make me," Aiden challenged. Rodney proceeded to do just that, starting with a series of tiny playful kisses that quickly progressed to something far more passionate and serious. When Rodney deemed that Aiden was sufficiently relaxed, he gently guided him through his first experience in male to male sexual intercourse.
"Now wasn't that much better than that bump and grind we did earlier?" Rodney purred in Aiden's ear sometime later. Aiden smiled lazily. It took him a few moments to gather enough brain cells to form speech.
"I don't know. I don't have enough data for comparison," he said impishly.
"You know, for a Marine, you're pretty damned smart sometimes," Rodney teased nuzzling his throat.
"I hang around with smart people," Aiden replied, wriggling in response to Rodney's tongue at the base of his ear. "Something was bound to rub off on me."
"I have just the thing to rub off on you. Give me a half hour or so and I'd be delighted to show you."
Aiden slid over and Rodney stretched and turned onto his side. Aiden spooned up against his back and wrapped his arm around Rodney's waist. A moment later he sat up again and began fiddling with his watch. Rodney turned and frowned at him.
"What are you doing?"
"Setting the alarm," Aiden said. He settled in again and giggled in Rodney's ear as he drifted off to sleep.
